Among several others, one feature that caught attention is the improvement to Find My app making it easier for Apple users to keep track of their Apple devices and AirTag.
The company also announced that users can now easily find their lost Apple AirPods using the Find My app. Meanwhile, another new addition to the ability to locate lost devices even when the battery is low it is completely turned off.
Though the company has not explained how the feature works, we can assume that it will show the last location of the device before it is turned off.
Apart from this, Apple has also mentioned the Find My app when paired with Activation Lock and even locate a lost and erased device. With Activation Lock turned on, thieves won’t be able to turn off the device tracking feature of the iPhone.
The iPhone will also show a notification right on the lock screen that the device is locked and associated with some Apple ID and owned by someone else and can be located by the owner.
For those unaware, Apple has recently opened up Find My program for third-party brands which allows them to make devices that work with Apple’s Find My ecosystem.
